This past weekend I attended a workshop put together by Massive Black and ConceptArt.org. Although the focus was mainly centered around the digital art scene and the video game industry as opposed to my background as an illustrator, there were plenty of traditional talents and special guests whom I've long respected and admired. Guys like Jon Foster, David Choong Lee, and Michael Hussar. I also got to meet quite a few names I've known from the ConceptArt forum, but have never known in person. That was the highlight of the experience for me, knowing I walked away with some new friends.

Here are a few of my drawings from the weekend:

I'd love to show some photos from the event, but I'd be wasting your time unless I simply directed you over to Phil Holland's site to take a look (note: not all images are work safe):

And here's the group shot (I'm the one with two eyes, hair, and a smile):

Ha ! Excellent, Mike ! You should add the drawing starting the sketch thread on CA too. I like it a lot. And I had recognise you ! You are quite on the right of the picture, near the guy with a beard, right ? Behind the cute asian girl ? [is she Alex ? Or Jess ?]. Am I right ? I start to doubt now, hahaha.

Julien, I'll probably add that one. I wasn't sure if it was a work safe issue or not. It really shouldn't be. And yep, that's me in the picture.... but I have no idea who the girl sitting in front of me is! Alex did stop by and take a look at one point, but not the day of this photo.

And as a sidenote, Aleksi looks like the twins in Matrix 2.
