Caffe Trieste

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been really busy with a couple projects the past week. Luckily, I was able to spend some time at one of my favorite cafes yesterday. It's always full of interesting characters.

"full of interesting characters" made far more interesting as they get interpreted by your pen. Your eye and your vision have gotten better and better, my friend. I'm wowed everytime I see something new from you

Your caricatures are WONDERFUL, Mike. You always inspire me to get out there into the world to make art. It's a nice change of pace from my studio, to be sure! :) Shari

I found you through Dice's blog. Your sketches and paintings are fabulous! Are you painting with gouache in your moleskine? That stream of consciousness coffee break sketch is blowing my mind--great colors!

Hey, thanks for all the kind words everyone. I'm always happy to read them!

Anthony, I do use gouache in my sketchbooks. In the stream of consciousness sketch, however, I used mostly acrylic on top of a sealed drawing. I'm glad you enjoy the work. :)
